SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of Civilian Self-Defense is dedicated to the multi-faceted areas of Civilian Self-Defense.

From Hand-to-Hand Martial Techniques to Firearms, and most everything in between, we have self-defense courses to fit our students comfort and aptitude levels.  

Presented-By SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of Civilian Self-Defense, our Use-of-Force Principles and Practice course is an educational presentation designed specifically for the everyday civilian that may find themselves the need-of-recognizing, and reacting-to, a Use-of-Force situation in their everyday lives.

Improper Use-of-Force may, and often-do, result in criminal arrest, prosecution, conviction, and imprisonment and/or civil liability in attempting a lawful use of self-defense scenario.

Topics to be addressed in this course include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Non-Deadly Force
  • Deadly Force
  • Principle of Necessity
  • Principle of Proportionality
  • Principle of Precaution
  • Use-of-Force, Consequences and Considerations

In todays world, with the threat of social, and civil, unrest, increased violent crimes, and socio-economic uncertainly that perpetuates the criminal element into our communities that endanger us, and our loved ones, the time is NOW to learn, and continuously train, in self-defense principles and techniques.

Our Use-of-Force Principles and Practice course examine strategies to reduce the exposure to criminal prosecution and civil litigation.

The course illustrates strategies before an event, during an event, and after an event that increases safety while mitigating the possibility of negligent acts and resulting possible prosecution and/or litigation.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Use-of-Force Principles and Practice course, students must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Use-of-Force Principles and Practice course is offered in the following manner:

We offer this course in the following schedule(s):

  • Weekly, One-Day/Evening, Approximately 4-Hours;
  • Weekend, One-Day, Approximately 4-Hours.

Course completion consists of the following:

  • Course Completion Certificate upon complete course attendance. 

Course Objectives

SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Use-of-Force Principles and Practice course objectives are intended to leave the student with a better understanding of principles, and practices and use, of Use-of-Force approaches to everyday common threats and give an effective and illustrate strategies to reduce criminal prosecutions and/or civil litigations.
