Presented-by SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of Civilian Self-Defense, our Introduction-to-Pistol/Handgun Orientation course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to various action-types of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols/handguns.

Students will learn the rules for safe firearm handling; the pistol/handgun model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol/handgun; and continued opportunities for skill development.

Topics to be addressed in this course include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Safe Firearm Handling
  • Pistol/Handguns Model Parts and Operations
  • Ammunitions
  • Shooting Fundamentals
  • Pistol/Handgun Cleaning
  • Skill Development Continued Opportunities

Upon course completion, students will receive the Basics of Pistol/Handguns Shooting handbook, Gun Safety Rules brochure, Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and Introduction-to-Pistols/Handguns Orientation course completion certificate.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Introduction-to-Pistol/Handgun Orientation course, students who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law.

Prerequisites:

  • Student must be 18-Years Old OR Older;
  • Non-Prohibited Person, Possession-of-Firearm;

Additional Student Requirements:

  • Students Personal Firearm;
  • Ammunition, Approximately 300-Rounds;
  • Two-Magazines for Semi-Automatic Firearms;
  • Two-Speed Loaders or Two-Speed Strips for Revolver Firearms.
