SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of Civilian Self-Defense is dedicated to the multi-faceted areas of Civilian Self-Defense.

From Hand-to-Hand Martial Techniques to Firearms, and most everything in between, we have self-defense courses to fit our students comfort and aptitude levels.  

Presented-By SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of  Civilian Self-Defense, our Basics-of-Rifle Shooting course is approximately eight-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles.

Students learn the rules for safe rifle handling that include, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Rifle Parts and Operations
  • Rifle Ammunition
  • Shooting Fundamentals
  • Shooting from Bench-Rest Position
  • Shooting from Prone Position
  • Shooting from Sitting Position
  • Shooting from Standing Position
  • Shooting from Kneeling Position
  • Cleaning
  • Continued Skill Development Opportunities

In todays world, with the threat of social, and civil, unrest, increased violent crimes, and socio-economic uncertainly that perpetuates the criminal element into our communities that endanger us, and our loved ones, the time is NOW to learn, and continuously train, in self-defense principles and techniques.

Upon course completion, students will receive the Basics-of-Rifle Shooting handbook, Gun Safety Rules brochure, Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics-of-Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a  Basics-of-Rifle Shooting course completion certificate.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Introduction-to-Rifle Shooting course, students who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law.

Prerequisites:

  • Student must be 18-Years Old OR Older;
  • Non-Prohibited Person, Possession-of-Firearms.

Additional Student Requirements:

  • Students Personal Firearm;
  • Ammunition, Approximately 100-Rounds.

SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Introduction-to-Rifle Shooting course is offered in the following manner:

Course completion consists of the following:

  • Course Completion Certificate Upon Complete Course Attendance.

Course Objectives

SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Introduction-to-Rifle Shooting course objectives are intended to educate, and expand, students learning the rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development.
