SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of Civilian Self-Defense is dedicated to the multi-faceted areas of Civilian Self-Defense.

From Hand-to-Hand Martial Techniques to Firearms, and most everything in between, we have self-defense courses to fit our students comfort and aptitude levels.  

Presented-By SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Department of  Civilian Self-Defense, our First-Aid/B.L.S./C.P.R./A.E.D. Certification courses, equips our students with introductory life preservation techniques conducted-by the American Heart Association certified instruction.

We offer all essential educational segments in a one-day session, led by professionally instructors who are ready to answer any questions and provide students with a detailed overview of emergency medical care, including the three lifesaving skills, below, vital to saving lives.

This certification class is presented by a certified instructor dedicated to assisting students understand lifesaving information and techniques.

First-Aid:

First Aid is basic medical care to someone experiencing a sudden injury or illness.

First aid consists of the initial support provided to someone in the middle of a medical emergency. This support may help them survive until professional help arrives.

In-other-instances, First Aid consists of the care provided to someone with a minor injury.

Basic Life Support:

B.L.S., or Basic Life Support, trains students to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an A.E.D. 

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation:

C.P.R.. or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is a lifesaving technique that uses chest/finger compressions and rescue breathing to restore a heartbeat to an individual who has suffered from cardiac arrest.

Automated External Defibrillator:

A.E.D., or Automated External Defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

An A.E.D. is a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

Topics to be addressed in this course include, but not limited to, the following:

  • First-Aid
  • Basic Life Support
  • Cardiopulmonary Recitation
  • Automated External Defibrillator

In todays world, with the threat of social, and civil, unrest, increased violent crimes, and socio-economic uncertainly that perpetuates the criminal element into our communities that endanger us, and our loved ones, the time is NOW to learn, and continuously train, in self-defense principles and techniques.

We offer all essential educational segments in a one-day session, led by certified professionally instructors who are ready to answer any questions students may have.

Additionally, our instructors will facilitate a successful skills check, and written test, for you before giving you your qualification credentials.

 

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s First-Aid/B.L.S./C.P.R./A.E.D. Certification course, students must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
